Taha Hussain - CSA – Hydrogen in Pipelines
Jennifer Green - Canadian BioGas Association – Connecting to Renewable Natural Gas
Jason Wolfe - FortisBC – Implementation Hurdles for Fuel Diversification
Purpose
Reaching Canada’s carbon reduction targets will require diversification of the fuel stream; no one source of energy is feasible. Even with consumer desire for lower carbon fuels, delivering the necessary mixture of fuels to customers presents significant supply, regulatory and engineering challenges. It also presents potentially even greater opportunities for businesses. This session will educate and inform attendees on the direction the Energy sector is taking to lower or offset carbon emissions from fuels and delve into how industry professionals are resolving the hurdles associated with this transformational opportunity. Presentations include Canada’s Hydrogen Fuels Strategy, Hydrogen transportation in pipelines, Renewable Natural Gas synergies and the operator’s experiences with meeting the demand for lower carbon fuel content.
